Padeo a31p. ; c29 cm aThis research on egg laying performance of Dekalb chicken using two different feeding rates was conducted by the researcher in Egan, Poblacion, Tadian, Mountain Province from September 2012-March 2013. The activities involved in the performance of this research include determining the kind of feed rations fed to chicken, amount of feeds given, water, lighting requirements, egg collection, cleaning, weighing, sorting and other management practices. From the data gathered, it shows that among the two treatments, Treatment 1- feeding 3x a day was the first to complete the laying period and produced the most number of eggs while Treatment 0- feeding 2x a day had produced lesser number of eggs but heavier ones. Slight difference on the number of eggs produced has been observed regardless of the rates of feeding the layers. In order to gain profit in egg production, it is advisable to have hundreds or thousands of egg layers to maximize the effort, time and money of the producer. It is suggested that a further study should be conducted to validate the results of this research. aAgricultural aEGG PRODUCTION
