The proposed project is located at dalanao, north of Poblacion, Paracelis Mountain Province, along the national road traversing the town going to the Province of Kalinga. The proposed project was decided because of the dilapidated condition of the existing bailey bridge.
The proposed project is a two lane composite bridge, a bridge that has a concrete deck with high strength steel girders that acts as the longitudinal main load-bearing members anchored on reinforced concrete abutments. Such type of bridge is selected because it is economical and at the same time lightweight but structurally rigid type of construction.
The researchers concluded that the proposed project is basically feasible although it is not financial feasible from the result of the BCR, however, it is concluded that the presentation and analysis of the maintenance cost of the bailey bridge proved to be a factor that could justify its financial viability. It is also concluded that the project, having complied with all the standard specifications of bridge construction will reach its lifespan of 50 years.
