The study aimed to compare the yield performance and life span of pole and bush beans.
The initial flowering of Jade and Pole Blue Lake appeared within 56 days and has a longer productive life due to their indeterminate type of growth, wherein they continuously grow as they produce flower up to 103 days. However, Bush Blue Lake flower appeared within 40 days after planting and its productive life is shorter, about 79 days.
It was found out that Jade variety significantly produced the highest yield of 7.98 T/ha with pod length of 200 cms, 140.25 pods per plant, longer pod length, and smooth pod texture compared to bush Blue Lake with 4.97 t/ha, pod length of 156 cms, and 44.62 pods per plant.
